Kleinenbremen is a mill site that is over 700 years old. There were still six water mills here in 1906. "Hartings Mill" is named after the former owner. The wheel with a diameter of 3.8 m is driven by the water of the mill pond directly above. In 1809 "Hartings Mill" was furnished in a contemporary way with a grinding gear and later extended by a grist gear. The present house was built around 1900.
In order to cope with the intermittent water shortage, an electric drive was later installed. In 1966, the mill ceased to operate. Today the mill is looked after by the active local history society Kleinenbremen. After restoration work on the technical equipment, a miller's apartment was set up, where baked goods are offered to visitors. A small village museum completes the mill museum.
