Over the years, we have converted the buildings already used by the last millers for our purposes and the needs of our guests. We started a good 40 years ago with the "miller's house". In addition to the miller's family home, it contained stables and storerooms
Now we cater for around 50 guests at rustic tables in the "parlor" on milling and baking days. This indoor offer is particularly important when the weather is unstable, but some guests also like to make use of it when the sun is shining. The fact that our small bar for cold drinks is located there and that it is not far to the cake counter or the toilets may also play a role. Our association meetings, board meetings. Lectures and meetings usually take place here. This also applies to the Weher Kulturfrühstück, which we have been holding on the last Sunday in January since 2012 with cultural performances "from the region" and a rich buffet. Our practical serving counter for coffee, cakes and sandwiches is housed in the former Deele. For the buffet at larger events, the countertops opposite are also used. Our brochures and information about other events are also displayed in this room. And you can reach the toilet facilities for ladies, gentlemen and the disabled.
Our kitchen is located in the former apartment, where waffles are baked, bread is made, dishes are washed, ingredients are kept ready and work processes are organized. Without this "heart" and its hard-working team of ladies, the events at the Bock windmill would be almost inconceivable. There is also a storage room and a small office. These rooms and their equipment are also gladly used - for a small fee - by members of the association and other friends for family celebrations such as confirmations, birthdays, etc.. However, we take great care to ensure that the neighborhood is not disturbed by noise, for example. Helmut Klasing is responsible for booking.
